WW2 Overlay — Aerial Photographs Then And Now
This emplacement at Watten, France in the Pas De Calais area, is one of the structures mentioned by Prime Minister Churchill as possibly intended for the firing of rockets. It looked like this to bombardiers of the 8th Air Force who made their initial attack on the site 27 August 43. The emplacement had been hidden in the edge of a wooded area.
