DISRUPTED OIL PLANT - Direct hits partially destroyed the gas treatment plant, compression plant, nine storage tanks, barracks at the Zeitz synthetic oil plant in Germany during the attack on 28 May 44 by U.S. AAF heavy bombers. Previously attacked on 12 May 1944, this recent mission was designed to strike at the sections not hit.
